Dr. KAYTE CONROY is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor. Prior to opening her private practice, Dr. Conroy worked in numerous community agency settings with a variety of populations, including developmental disabilities, forensic mental health, drug, alcohol, and gambling addiction, domestic violence, mood disorders, and general mental health issues. Posttraumatic stress and impulse control disorders, such as compulsive/disordered gambling or computer use, and/or over-spending or eating are her specialized areas. Dr. Conroy is also a faculty member at the University at Buffalo. As an independent consultant, Dr. Conroy conducts on-site personal enrichment and clinical training seminars for agencies, companies, and schools throughout Western New York. She has presented workshops for regional, national, and international audiences and provides training and clinical supervision for other therapists and graduate students on an individual and group basis. She has also provided multiple local and national media interviews regarding gambling and mental health issues. After many years of private practice elsewhere, Kayte is pleased to open Maple View Center with many wonderful clinicians.
ELIZABETH GENCO is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience. After working in various mental health agencies, she entered private practice in 2003. She works with individuals, age 10 and up, couples and families. Working holistically, she pulls from various treatment approaches to help clients achieve balance in their lives. This often includes themes of spirituality. While eclectic in her approach, her training has focused on family/couple therapy as well as solution focused treatment. Areas of specialty include depression, anxiety, self-injurious behavior, grief and loss, life stress, relationship issues, life transitions, and launching or separation issues for young adults. She accepts most major insurances.
Dr. DENISE RILEY is a Licensed Psychologist and Certified Rehabilitation Counselor. She specializes in working with clients and families affected by chronic pain and serious illness. Her clinical areas of focus also include caregiving, return to work or school following illness or disability, grief and loss, veteran’s issues, PTSD, depression, and anxiety. Denise is trained in cognitive behavioral therapy for pain management, stress tolerance, adjustment, and emotional distress. Outside of her clinical work, Denise has presented at national conferences on the topics of caregiving and quality of life and has spent several years teaching as an adjunct faculty member at the University at Buffalo.
Dr. MONICA ROMEO is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who has effectively helped clients seek solutions to meet individualized goals for over twenty years. She works with clients who experience depression, anxiety, or have challenges with interpersonal relationships with friends, family, and others. In addition, short-term skill-based coaching sessions are also available for those who are looking to learn healthy ways to reduce stress, grief, or are adjusting to illness or injury. On a professional level, Monica has provided clinical supervision for professional counselors and counselors-in-training, and has taught at the graduate level in the field of mental health counseling for many years. She is currently accepting new clients for individual, family, and couples sessions.
MARK STEINBERG is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over a decade of experience in the counseling field. Mark has worked with both adolescents and adults in inpatient and outpatient settings. Mark has extensive training in crisis intervention and specializes in working with clients experiencing issues with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and trauma. Adjusting to life stress, grief and loss, and emotional distress are additional areas of interest. Working with clients and students from diverse cultural backgrounds gave him the opportunity to work as a mentor for international students from the University at Buffalo. Mark enjoys helping clients build skills, discover strengths, and improve quality of life. He is currently taking new clients for day or evening appointments.
DEBORAH TELAAK is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who has been helping adults and children with mental health issues for nearly 20 years. She has worked successfully with clients experiencing a broad range of issues including ADHD, bipolar disorder, anxiety, depression, reactive attachment disorder, and schizophrenia. She is a Certified Trauma Specialist and has extensive training and experience with domestic violence, sexual abuse, and other trauma based issues. She is currently welcoming new clients.
